Wolf Creek Ranch is in beautiful Haywood County, North Carolina. Located in the western part of the state, this county is bordered in the south by the Blue Ridge Parkway, in the north by the Great Smoky Mountains, the Newfound Mountain range on the east and the Balsam Mountain range on the west. About 40% of Haywood County is occupied by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Pisgah National Forest and the Harmon Den Wildlife Refuge. Nineteen mountain peaks and more than 6,000 feet in elevation make for breathtaking scenery. This area, which includes Cold Mountain, was the inspiration for the national bestseller and movie.
